What is IP?

Interior Planner (IP) is an expert who performs interior planning, design, construction supervision etc. IP is qualified by the Japan Architectural Education and Information Center (JAEIC) under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Currently, approximately 8,600 qualified people nationwide are active in various fields such as interior design office, architectural design office, interior construction company, construction company.

The Importance of Interior Planning

The 21st century is said to be "The Era of Interior". This is because as society diversifies, daily lives and work places are emphasized.

 While the architectural design expands to the urban area, it not only solves with architectural design but also issues to be solved at the level of interior design familiar to daily life.

As a result of these changes, the importance of interior planning has become recognized in the construction industry, design organizations are also establishing interior departments or making them independent.

 It is increasingly necessary for interior planners to participate from the initial stage of architectural design to advance the project.
